Pathfinder Members Became ALERT

Indian_Pathfinders_AlertOn Sunday October 25th the Abenaki tribe teamed up with ALERT in Londonderry to a fun and informational Pathfinder event. Pathfinder members were given lessons from ALERT on hiking safety, how to be prepared to be in the woods and what to do if they become lost in the woods. The ALERT team also gave Pathfinder members an insight on how ALERT conducts a line searh which is used when searching for lost and missing people.

After the demonstration Pathfinder members were treated to a barbecue at the Landing  in the Masquash Conservation. Members had time to relax and enjoy hot dogs and snacks while socializing with other members.

The Abenaki tribe would like to thank all that were able to attend. They would also like to thank members that helped carry out some of the items not used at the Landing.Indian_Pathfinders_Alert_2

Lastly, The Pathfinder would like to thank members of Londonderry ALERT for donating their time and experience to train our members on hiking safety and search and rescue.
